Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Bees Knees Apiary mobile application and web portal provided by Bees Knees Apiary (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Contact: support@beeskneesapiary.co.uk.

1. The service

Bees Knees Apiary helps beekeepers record and manage apiaries, hives, inspections, harvests, treatments, feedings, queens, swarm events, reminders, hive weights, and finances, with optional cloud sync across devices.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the records, notes, and photos you create. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store, back up, and sync your content to provide the service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service unlawfully (including in breach of rules governing veterinary medicines / hive treatments in your jurisdiction), attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service, or reverse engineer it except as permitted by law.

5. Beekeeping disclaimer

The app is a record-keeping tool. It does not provide veterinary, agricultural, legal, or financial advice. Treatment schedules, withdrawal periods, reminders, and calculations are aids only - you remain responsible for complying with the laws and good practice that apply to your bees and products.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and your data safe, but provide it “as is” and “as available” without guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We recommend keeping your own copy via the in-app Export feature.

7. Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account and data at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account, or via our deletion page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or bees, arising from your use of the service. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
